Cassie Navalta is a second year Master of Public Health student at The George Washington University concentrating in Maternal and Child Health. She has experience working with youth in and out of the school system as a program facilitator with Girls Inc. and as a program assistant at Mary’s Center Youth Program. From these experiences, Cassie is interested in connecting youth and families to community-based resources to achieve optimal health. Additionally, her research interests are on structural barriers to maternal healthcare and health disparities of ethnic minority groups in urban areas.
